  • What is My Atelier?
    • My Atelier is a trade-only drapery workroom serving in interior design industry of the DC-metro region.
  • Where are you located?
    • We are in the heart of historic Marshall, Virginia.
  • How long have you been in business?
    • Founded as The Window Look in 1985, we rebranded as My Atelier in 2017 after the second generation of our family took over operations.
  • Can I order drapes for my own house?
    • My Atelier is wholesale only, so we do not sell directly to the public. If you’d like custom draperies for your home, we’d be happy to refer you to one of the talented designers we work with to assist you with your project.
  • Do you measure?
    • Yes! We include a site visit within 60 miles of Marshall into our labor pricing. It saves everyone time for us to confirm measurements and see where we’re installing prior to going into production.
  • What’s your lead time?
    • Our standard lead time is 3-6 weeks, but if you have a specific installation deadline within that range, let us know when ordering and we will do everything we can to accommodate it.
  • What if I need it before that?
    • We can accommodate tighter deadlines, please let us know when requesting a quote. Items delivered within 6-10 business days of receipt of fabric are subject to a 20% rush fee, and items delivered in 5 days of less incur a 50% rush fee.
  • What other services do you offer?
  • How do I get a quote for my project?
    • Email us! We can send you a rough quote within 48 hours with the following information:
      • Style of drapery/shade
      • The fabric pattern number and/or vertical repeat
      • Any other design details, including header style, trim or banding, lining preferences, etc.
      • Included requested services: installation, hardware, etc.
      • The following measurements:
        • Floor to ceiling
        • Top of window to floor
        • Window width
        • Any specific restrictions or requests (please provide photos)
      • a picture of the window or room
  • What are your terms for payment?
    • Unless otherwise negotiated, all invoices require a 50% deposit to be placed into production with the balance due upon installation. Prompt payment is appreciated.
  • Do you take credit cards?
    • Yes! We offer online payment by credit/debt card and ACH transfer via our emailed invoices, but also accept cash and check.
